Hammond Power Solutions produces a wide range of standard three phase dry type power transformers. However, these are just some of our capabilities. We also manufacture unit substation transformers and traction duty rectifiers, and cycloconverters can be offered for a variety of environmental conditions and built to meet the most onerous duty, including MIL standards.

In addition to conventional indoor applications, our dry units are located outdoors, on drilling platforms, in network vaults and in every location where airborne contaminants pose a risk to electrical equipment. When selecting Hammond, you will never be limited. Our specials capability includes ratings up to 25MVA and 46kV. We can build customized products for you affordably while still maintaining our short lead-time capabilities, for almost any application.

Medium Voltage Transformers

Hammond medium voltage transformers are designed for stepping down incoming higher voltage power to utilize voltages for commercial, institutional or industrial applications. The standard ventilated construction is suitable for indoor applications. Units suitable for outdoor applications in a NEMA 3R enclosure are available. Standard single phase units with aluminum or copper windings with ratings from 15kVA to 333kVA and three phase units with aluminum or copper windings with ratings from 15kVA to 750kVA are available.

With the continued development in technology of materials, designs and manufacturing methods, the use of dry-type transformers is growing rapidly throughout North America. Hammond Power Transformers are suitable for any commercial, industrial, manufacturing or production process application. In addition to conventional indoor applications, our dry units are located outdoors, on drilling platforms, in network vaults and in every location where airborne contaminants pose a risk to electrical equipment. Hammond power transformers are available with aluminum and copper windings as a core & coil design, stubs up bus design in a ventilated enclosure or a standard bus to end design in a ventilated enclosure. Standard ratings from 500kVA, 1.2kV class up to 7500kVA, 34.5kV class.
